With the generous support of more than 37 philanthropic organizations and individuals, “Fringe Shanghai” made its first step in China Mainland. We presented in 2006:
50 exhibitions and programs
302 artists from home and aboard
87 performances in 14 venues across the City
13 talks and workshops
Over 1,500 undergraduate students attended our audience development activities and an estimated traffic of 50,000 people have seen “Fringe Shanghai 2006”.

At “Fringe Shanghai”, we focus on arts breakthrough and innovation and we foster partnerships to encourage these to happen. “Fringe Shanghai” offers an open platform for emerging artists from home and overseas.
